Programs

he Portland Waldorf School offers these programs:

High School
The High School offers grades 9–12. Located at our High School in Milwaukie. In 2003-2004, 10 teachers (and additional guest faculty) are serving approximately 50 students (overall, a ratio of 1:3).

Lower School
We offer grades 1–8 at our lower school in Milwaukie. We provide a bus route from the Multnomah Arts Center.

May Faire
Held on the first Saturday of May, this annual festival celebrates the coming of spring, is open to the public, and features dancing around the may pole, live music, food, and fun family activities.

Mixed-age Kindergarten
For children 4 years old by June 1 at our lower school in Milwaukie, and the Multnomah Arts Center. We offer 3- and 5-day options; programs run 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. On-site aftercare available until 3:30 pm in Milwaukie.

Parent/Child Classes
These weekly classes introduce Waldorf ideas as they apply to very early childhood from birth to age 3. Classes are held throughout the school year for children and their parents, with occasional parent-only information evenings.

Public lectures and events about Waldorf education
The school brings in speakers from around the world to share their expertise on Waldorf education and related topics.

Spring Creek Store
Located in Milwaukie, the store is a delightful place to find Waldorf-inspired toys, books, art supplies, and hard-to-find gifts. Generally open during school hours. For store hours, please call 503·654·2200. Please come through the front entry of the main building. The store is located on the main floor.
