*There is an additional Enrollment
Fee (non-refundable). There are 3 options for tuition payments: annual,
semi-annual or 10 monthly installments. Tuition installment payments begin
in July. The sibling discount is 10% for the first child; 20% for the
second child; 40% for additional children if requested.
In high school a continuing
student discount is made available if requested. This discount is based
upon the number of years a student attended PWS in the grades at $250
per full year of attendance. Students who have attended all eight grades
may be granted a $2000 discount per year of high school at PWS. This discount
will be reviewed annually and is subject to change.
Enrollment procedure
- Applicants submit a completed application with a $50 non-refundable
application fee. If applying for
grades 2-12, records from previous school(s) are required. The application
deadline for the following fall
is February 1. Preference will be given to applications received by
this date. We will however continue
to accept applications after the February 1 date.
- A decision is made whether to interview the applicant based on space
availability and other factors. The
applicant is notified of decision whether to decline, interview, or
place in wait pool.
- As part of the interview process, a child applying for grades 2-12
may be asked to spend up to three
days in the classroom.
- After the interview, applicants are notified of the teacher’s
decision.
- Upon acceptance, the following complete the enrollment process:
- Completion of the Tuition
Contract and the enrollment forms
- Payment of $100 Enrollment
Fee (non-refundable) for new students.
- Payment of the $500 tuition
deposit (non-refundable).
Fees
The Enrollment Fee of $100
per child is a one-time fee for enrollment in the school. It is paid again
if a family re-enrolls after the yearly re-enrollment deadline, OR leaves
the school for a period of time, and then returns. It is non-refundable.
This fee applies to all programs.
Payment
options
Three options for payment are available: annual, semi-annual, or 10 monthly
payments. The monthly
installments do not reflect the monthly cost of tuition. Payments are
due July 1, January 1, or the 1st of every month.
Other
expenses
Other expenses may be incurred if teachers recommend tutoring, external
consultations or services that the school does not provide. Additional
costs may also include musical instruments and field trip expenses.
Tuition
Assistance
Tuition Assistance is given at the school’s discretion, based on
an assessment of the family’s financial need and on the availability
of funds. Preference is given to families who have children who already
attend the school. New families may apply for tuition assistance after
a child is accepted into the school. Continuing families apply for tuition
assistance beginning in January for the coming school year. NOTE: Tuition
assistance is offered for the Kindergarten, Grades and High School (it
is not offered for the Pre-Kindergarten Program). In the first year of
Kindergarten, families can receive up to 15 percent of tuition in assistance;
in the second year, up to 25 percent. In the grades and high school, families
can receive up to 50 percent (up to 25 percent for first year families
in the first grade).
